The Acer Multi-Gesture Touchpad
A multi-gesture touchpad allows you to pinch, flick and swirl your

ASUS Eee PC 1001PXD Netbook (ep.4)
Great laptop, very good keyboard
I used this Netbook Asus for about a month now, so I thought I would give my initial impression of this device to help prospective buyers make an informed decision.First buy a netbook is not my first choice, as I have a laptop 17 “Toshiba. But recently, a graduate student friend / member of mine bought an iPad and was showing it. For jealousy I decided to have a tablet as well, but after reading about them online, got diverted to buying a netbook instead. I wanted a mobile computing device (as I walk or bike to school, shopping, etc. Downtown, and a 17 “laptop is just too heavy) to check mail which does minor editing of documents, perhaps play a game or too. For these reasons, a netbook seemed more pleasant alternative more productive than a tablet. Now you know why I bought it let me go to the pros and cons of Asus netbook.
Pros
1. Its small and light. I had a mini-CV back in 2008 (which I gave to my sister) and it was at least 35 percent more weight. The Asus could even fit in my jacket pocket. I think it is much easier and less difficult to carry a tablet.
2. Brand name Asus. Asus is the company most reliable when it comes to laptops. He is leading in terms of reliability even Apple (google really), even if all laptops seem to be made by Foxxcon (?).
3. I installed Ubuntu Linux Distro on it and it worked without any extra work.
4.The autonomy. Currently, I can press anywhere between 3 to 4 hours of battery. However, this will decrease due to aging of the battery.
5. Colors. I like the choice of colors that come with a netbook. I went for the blue.
6. The material appears to be robust. I looked online movies while editing office documents and to have 7-10 tabs open in Firefox and the laptop was working fine. However, I am looking to upgrade the RAM total of at least 2GB.
There were things I did not like the netbook.
Cons
1. The keyboard. They call it the chiclet keyboard and I think it is quite small, even for a netbook of this size. As I mentioned earlier I had a mini HP before and it has a much better, more spacious than the keyboard. The keys also have a “springy” sound that I dislike. It reminds me somewhat of the old IBM keyboards. It is difficult, but eventually you get used to typing on this netbook.
2. Windows 7. Windows is the worst it really this netbook. Do not get me wrong, I like Windows 7, do not like the installed version here. With only 1 GB of RAM, Windows starts to become dull very fast compared to Ubuntu. If you will use, I suggest you buy additional RAM to run Windows 7 (same input) on this machine or do like me, install a Linux distribution.
3. The power plug. I feel that the power plug and outlet in the netbook are just too fragile and easy with just a little stress. And since I use this device on my lap and when I got to bed too, I feel that I must be careful not to bend the power cord.
4. Audio in / out. The audio inputs and outputs are through the same hole. So I am unable to use my microphone when I need Skype. And the internal mic is too low, so I have to screen netbook side of my face to talk. Need to buy a mic / headphone combo into something.
